C'est la Vie's owner, Faustine Faure, was raised in Paris by her
fashion-designer mother, and spent her childhood browsing with her in
flea markets looking for inspiration in vintage designs.
In Paris, Faustine worked for 8 years in antiques and vintage and friperies stores. She came to Vancouver and discovered a new world of consignment and felt in love with the concept. She became a consignor to many stores as a hobby and almost a second job.
Eight years later, in 2002, Faustine decided to open C'est la Vie. For
Faustine and her customers, the attraction lies in recycling: finding
treasures in what otherwise would go to waste—treasures that can cost
so much money new, but are so affordable at C'est La Vie.
Faustine's motto:
Everything can be stylish depending on how you wear it!
